Developing the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility Strategy for Yearsley Group

12 December 2012

Yearsley Group is a leading provider of frozen foods logistics in the UK. To meet customer demand, Yearsley wanted a more strategic approach to managing its social and environmental activities. Anthesis (then trading as M4C) helped Yearsley to develop and implement a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) strategy; promote its CSER activities to customers; introduce a consistent approach to responding to tenders; and implement an integrated social and environmental management system using ISO 14001 and ISO 26000.

After working with Yearsley to develop and implement a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) strategy, Anthesis helped the company to write and design its first CSER report. The report will help the company communicate with customers about its approach to CSER and long and short term targets.

“The quality of Anthesis’ (then trading as M4C) work is first class. They were great at pushing us to take ownership which means the auditors can see that we understand the aims of ISO14001 and have completely ‘bought in’ to the standards.  Anthesis could not have been more helpful. They were great at turning our ramblings into useful documents and keeping everybody on track – because of them we met the deadlines and were ready for the auditors.”

- Tony Marland, Administration Manager

The final report is available here.
