Incorporating Sustainability Throughout the Business

05 March 2015

Our confidential client is the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services.

As their business grew, their CEO and Executive Committee identified sustainability as an opportunity to prepare the business for market, environmental and socio-political trends and to meet future customer needs. They needed additional support to incorporate sustainability into their corporate brand, strategy and operational programs.

The Anthesis team initially began working with them to refresh their strategy and program focus, which has touched on all major corporate functions including Business Groups, R&D, Procurement, Finance, Foundation & Philanthropy, Human Resources and IT. This has resulted in a more business-aligned strategy that is linked more firmly to core revenue generation, market leadership and cost and risk reduction drivers.

Anthesis continues to provide sustainability metrics inventory management and reporting support for their core suite of operational environmental metrics (GHG emissions, Water, Waste and Effluent) and program management support for sustainability communications and corporate reporting. This includes CSR reporting aligned to the GRI G4 standard and external disclosures, including the CDP Carbon, Water and Supply Chain questionnaires, Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Questionnaire and other 3rd Party rankings organizations, such as Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies and Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s Top 100 Corporate Citizens.
