In recognition of World Water Week, our client Belu explains Anthesis’ work with them, and their own relationship with key World Water Week contributor, WaterAid:
Belu is a social enterprise supplying British natural mineral water and filtration systems to the UK hotel and restaurant sector. We are the UK’s most ethical water brand, donating all our profits to the charity WaterAid to help end water poverty – so far we’ve donated over £1.5 million to help achieve global access to water, sanitation and hygiene.
Minimising environmental impact is also central to Belu’s work; Anthesis has worked with us for many years on our carbon footprint and we are proud to be completely carbon neutral, achieving PAS2060 - the highest standard for credible carbon neutral claims.
This year’s World Water Week conference in Stockholm focuses on water for sustainable growth. A key contributor will be Belu’s exclusive charity partner WaterAid. We chose to partner with WaterAid because we believe that as the leading organisation tackling the lack of access to safe water and sanitation it is best placed to use the funds raised through our water sales, where the need is greatest across the world’s poorest communities.
Our support helps make WaterAid’s work possible and so we wanted to share a blog written by WaterAid CEO Barbara Frost, celebrating the efforts of World Water Week and reflecting on the work that still needs to be done to accomplish Global Goal 6 and achieve their mission of a world where everyone everywhere has safe water, sanitation and hygiene by 2030.
